KASUR: The family of a man who was reportedly 105 years old when he died celebrated his long and “healthy” life by arranging a band to accompany his funeral to the graveyard and distributing sweets at Chunian.

The family of late Roshan Masih, a resident of Circular Road, Chunian, claimed he was 105 years old when he died on Saturday last.

According to his great grandson Khalil, as Roshan led a long and healthy life so the family decided to celebrate when he died peacefully.

As part of celebrations, the grandsons and great grandsons of the deceased arranged a band that accompanied the funeral procession to the local cemetery.

Roshan’s relatives also showered the coffin with currency notes when the funeral procession passed through various bazaars of the town.
