KARACHI: Despite Abdul Raziq excelling with a scintillating century, Munawwar Sports suffered a three-wicket defeat against Pak Star CC in the latest round of matches in the All-Karachi Prof Ejaz Faruqi Invitation Cricket Tournament here on Wednesday.

Batting first at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground, Muna­wwar Sports were dismissed for 202 in 39.3 overs with Raziq alone contributing 103 from 97 deliveries while striking nine boundaries and four sixes.

Pak Star CC then reached 205-7 in 30 overs to seal victory.

Paceman Rashid Awan grabbed 6-17 to help Rizvia Sports trounced New Sangham CC by nine wickets at the TMC Ground.

In the day’s third mach at the KCCA Stadium, seamer Saifullah starred with 5-30 as Al-Rehman whipped Islam Gymkhana by seven wickets.
