SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 19: Three people burnt alive when the CNG cylinder of their car exploded after being hit by a bus near the city toll plaza on motorway early on Friday.

Reports said three friends Amjad, Ajmal Miran and Muhammad were on their way to Lahore airport to receive their friend coming from abroad. Near the Sheikhupura toll plaza, a passenger bus (LRO 4836) which also was making for Lahore hit the car (FSG/6413).

As a result, its cylinder exploded and the car was reduced to skeleton within minutes, leaving the three occupants dead.

The Sheikhupura Saddar police reached the spot and started investigation. They said the car was hired by the three people.
