QUETTA: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Power and Natural Gas Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind has refuted rumours of change of the Balochistan governor and said that retired Amanullah Khan Yasinzai will continue to perform as governor of the province.

Rumours were taking round in Balochistan that the federal government had decided to replace Mr Yasinzai with a Balochistan PTI leader.

Sardar Rind, who is also parliamentary leader of PTI in Balochistan, held a meeting with Governor Yasinzai on his return to Quetta from London on Thursday in the Governor House and discussed different issues pertaining to problems being faced by the province.

Official sources said that Sardar Rind discussed losses caused by heavy snowfall and rains in Quetta and other areas of Balochistan.

Governor Yasinzai said that the federal government was well aware of the losses caused by heavy snowfall and rains and it was cooperating with the provincial government to provide relief to the masses hit by the snowfall.

Sardar Rind and Mr Yasinzai termed relations between the federal government and Balochistan government very cordial and said that the federal government was providing full cooperation to the provincial government in resolving problems being faced by the people.
