CHARSADDA/MARDAN: Four persons were shot dead in two separate incidents in Charsadda and Mardan districts on Friday, police said.

A man and his minor son were killed when gunmen opened fire on a moving car near Rajjar area of Charsadda.

The police quoted wife of the deceased, Bilal as saying that they along with their minor son, Sudais, 3, were going in a car when a nephew of her husband along with an accomplice opened fire on the vehicle. As a result, Bilal and Sudais, were killed on the spot, while she survived the attack.

She told the police that her husband ran a property dispute with his nephew identified as Ahmad Ali.

The police registered a case against the accused and started further investigations.

Meanwhile, unidentified assailants shot dead an official of Pakistan Air Force along with his son in Khwaja Ganj Mayar area of Mardan. The PAF man was on his way to office.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victims identified as Mohammad Arshid Khan and his son, Muhammad Hasanat Khan, were going on a motorcycle when armed persons opened indiscriminate fire on them. Both of them died on the spot.

The killers fled the scene. It was stated that a women-related dispute was going on between the two parties.

The Hoti police station lodged FIR against the alleged killers identified as Habibullah, Ziyad and Abdullah on the complaint of a relative of the victims.
