KARACHI: Prominent batsman Saud Shakeel struck a fine half-century as Eaton CC clinched a nail-biting win by a single run against DSA CC in their match of the third Champions League T20 League at the TMC Ground here the other day.

Batting first, Eaton CC posted 155 all out in 19 overs with Saud scoring a scintillating 53 off 29 balls with the help of six boundaries and two sixes, while Usman Javed struck a 32-ball 50 that included four fours.

Naveed claimed 4-30 in a fine spell but his team only reached 154-9 in reply despite Anas Ahmed contributing 54 from 32 balls (10 fours and one six), while sharing a first-wicket partnership of 75 with Ismail Shah (38 off 23, three fours and two sixes).

Slow left-armer Imran Khan snared three wickets for only 16 runs in his four overs.
