SUKKUR, Aug 13: Activists of Aurat Foundation and Rural Development Organization Coordinating Council staged a protest demonstration against the killing of a school teacher, Jannat Bibi in Ghotki on Saturday.

The protesters were raising slogans against the education minister and her ministry officials.

They said that Jannat Bibi was killed during while performing her duty on August 9, but the education officials did not take any notice of her killing.

They demanded of the Sindh chief minister, Governor and Sindh Irrigation Minister, Nadir Akmal Leghari, to order the police to arrest the culprits and punish them according to the law.

Salamat Leghari and Asghar Leghari were nominated in the FIR.

The NGOs alleged that the accused were still at large and the police were trying to cover up the matter by declaring it a case of karo-kari after getting illegal gratification from the accused.
