THE Modi-led Indian government has transformed India from a secular state into a Hindu state where minority communities, especially Muslims, are marginalised. The Bharatiya Janata Party government has got the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAP) 2019 passed in the upper and lower house of parliament.

It means that Muslims are not welcomed to Modi’s Hindu India. Under this draconian law, non-Muslims from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will able to acquire citizenship, while Muslims.

Today, under the BJP government, Muslims are miserable than ever before. This latest move by Modi’s government aims at marginalising and alienating Indian Muslims. The CAP has shown India’s real fascist face.
