MURREE: The hill station and Galyat have so far received five inches and a foot snow, respectively.

According to senior observer at the local Met Office Raja Rasib, about 11 inches of snow has already fallen but as the temperature is not below freezing point, it melts and only a few inches of snow is left on the ground.

Due to weekend a large number of tourists thronged Murree which was evident from the fact that traffic jams were witnessed at various places.

Tourists were seen taking selfies and photos along roadsides which caused hindrance in the smooth flow of traffic.

Police have deployed more wardens than they do in normal days to guide tourists and manage traffic.

Murree traffic police Public Relation Officer Muzamal Abbasi has appealed to tourists that they should visit Murree on mechanically fit vehicles, keep dry fruits and chains in the vehicles and avoid double lines and selfies on road sides so that they do not face problems.

Snowfall has attracted tourists which positively enhanced the business but due to unavailability of parking and water shortage, visitors had to face problems.
