KARACHI: Three more matches were played on the third day of the ongoing 4th Essa Lab Basketball tournament being organized by Karachi Basketball Association in collaboration with Essa Lab at Abdul Nasir Courts in Arambagh on Friday night.

In the first match of the day, Omega Club beat Usman Club 55-49 after tough fight.

Scorers for the winners were Abbas Qaimkhani 26 points, Taimur Zaheer 14 points and Khalid Usman 10 points. For the losing side, Usman Khawaja and Shariq Suleman scored 12 while Hassan Iqbal scored11 points,

In the second match, Nishter Club comprehensively beat Karachi basketball Club 58-46 in a one-sided encounter. Muhammad Shabbar 19 points were the main scorer while Talha Amjad 11 scored 20 points.

For the losing side, the main scorers were Daniyal Ahmed scored 17 points, Engineer Zainul Abedeen scored and Raj Kumar scored 10 points.

In third and last match of the day, Neighborhood club beat Askari Alfas 51-46.

Scorers for the winners were Sami and Soraiz 13 points each while Hammad N D Khan and Abdullah scored 12 and 10 points respectively.

Earlier players of all teams were introduced to International basketball Mutahir Hussain from Lahore, and DSR Pakistan Rangers Tahir Niazi,who was the chief guest on the occasion.
