SUKKUR: The body of a seven-year-old boy who had gone missing in Mehar Leghari village three days ago was found in sugar-cane fields near Ghotki on Wednesday.

Police moved the body to hospital for post mortem after some passersby spotted it. The autopsy report said the boy had been subjected to sexual assault before murder.

The body was later handed over to the parents while A-Section police arrested a male suspect over suspicions of involvement in the heinous crime.
