MIRPURKHAS: A 25-year-old man was axed to death by five unknown assailants in Shadi Palli town on Thursday.

The victim’s body was taken to Pithoro town’s rural health centre for a post-mortem examination and later handed over to the heirs.

Area residents and police said Qurban Ali Wajlo might have been killed for ‘honour’ as he was embroiled in a matrimonial dispute with his in-laws.

The assailants waylaid him in a street of Shadi Palli and escaped after committing his murder, they said.

Police have launched a hunt for the killers but an FIR was yet to be registered.
