PESHAWAR: The website of Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) was hacked on Wednesday evening with a hacker posting massages snubbing the civic agency for the much-delayed Bus Rapid Transit project. PDA is the executing agency of the BRT.

The hacker who identified himself as ‘Black Python’ posted two pictures, including one wherein a man riding a donkey could be seen trotting through the main corridor, while another picture shows bad condition of roads in the posh University Town along the bus corridor.

A text pasted below the pictures read, ‘please fix these roads in [University] town side and be a little more responsible.’

The hacker warned the civic agency that their files were safe now but it would not be so next time.

A PDA spokesperson said hacking took place around 7pm and that they had taken control and the website would be restored by Thursday morning. He said from the messages against BRT it seemed to be handiwork of local hackers.
