KARACHI: A day after he was admitted to hospital following deterioration of his health, former military ruler retired Gen Pervez Musharraf said on Tuesday he was ready to record his statement in the high treason case against him. He, however, showed mistrust in the judicial process, saying “I have not been heard and I’m being victimised”.

In a video statement from his hospital bed, he spoke about his health, saying he had fainted and had to be admitted to hospital.

“As far as this [treason] case is concerned, this is absolutely baseless,” said a visibly ailing Musharraf.

“I have served my country for 10 years. I have fought for my country. This [treason] is the case in which I have not been heard and I have been victimised.”

While the corrupt who looted the country are enjoying luxurious life, the only leader before Imran Khan, who stirred the country towards development is being victimized. Musharraf's was honest and saved pakistan from war and from economic disaster. Why do we, as a nation, go after our nationals who do great service to the country. We did the same to Dr. Abdus Salaam and Malala. Such a sorry state we are in as a nation.

Great leader indeed no doubt in my mind! NRO was his only mistake which he admitted as his fault a brave man and a visionary mind. Thank you to Urdu Speaking community for giving us President Musharraf.

Wah! He is one of those powerful elites in Pakistan who are untouchable. He not only broke the law but also suspended the the constitution and took over the country illegally by dismissing an elected government but is being hailed a as hero and saviour by few . No wonder our country is not politically stable thus not progressing.

This is the reason, most of world feel totally confused about Pakistan. Sometime, he is the guy, who over thrown democracy. Put full judicial system on his feet. Now, same guys is telling that he doesn't trust Judiciary and readers will say that he is hero, great leader, visionary etc. It seems, it's not only world but Pakistan itself is group of confused people

His only mistake was to fall for for clever tricks of Mr Sharif, who used his foreign freinds to placate the general. General masharaf deserves a medal for saving Pakistan. If only he had jailed the corrupt who don't deserve mercy, we would be in better situation. The enemy is working hard to destroy us from all directions . We must be vigilant and stand up to corruption. If there is no corruption then our enemies cannot harm us because they know they can't fight us.
