KHAR: People of Nawagai area of Bajaur tribal district on Tuesday held a demonstration against the Tesco, blaming it for the death of man who was electrocuted when the electricity supply was restored while he was fixing a fault at his home.

The victim was identified as Bahadur Khan, 29.

The local residents said that power supply to the area was disconnected as part of the load management.

Soon after the incident, people of the area came onto the main Khar-Peshawar highway and held a protest demonstration against the local Tesco officials. They asked the district administration to conduct an inquiry into the incident and take action against the officials responsible.

Later, the protesters ended the blockade of the road when officials of the district administration assured them of conducting an inquiry into the incident.
