KASUR: A team of the Pattoki police claimed on Sunday to have recovered the body of a teenager hanged with a tree near Kot Maan village.

Police said 15-year-old Muhammad Nazim, a student of a local seminary, had been missing since Saturday and the family searched for him without informing police.

On Sunday, they said, a team found Nazim’s body hanged with a tree near Kot Maan village about two kilometers away from his house (Ghuman village). Police handed over the body to the family after legal formalities.

Police said Nazim’s father Barkat Ali, in a statement recorded under section 174 of CrPC, claimed that his son committed suicide after a quarrel with his mother over a petty issue.
