KARACHI: Ashar Mir comfortably defeated Ahmed Nael Qureshi in the boys singles final of the Rotary Club Karachi ATF Tennis Championships which concluded here at the DA Creek Club on Sunday.

Looking in excellent touch, Ashar did not allow his opponent to settle through his powerful serves and forehand drives as he easily clinched the decider against Ahmed 6-1, 6-0 in 50 minutes.

Ashar partnering Ahmed also won the doubles title.

According to Pakistan Tennis Federation vice-president, Khalid Rehmani, STA will hold two ITF junior under-18 events next year.

Boys singles: Asher Mir bt Ahmed Nael 6-1, 6-0.

U-18 singles: Zain Ehtisham bt Ibrahim Noman Yousuf 7-6(4), 6-7(6), 10-5

Ladies singles: Natalia Zaman bt Eshal Zain 6-0, 6-0

Juniors 17 singles: Mohammad Yahya Ehtisham bt Ghufran Faiz 6-2, 6-4

Boys U-15: Yahya Ehtisham bt Ammar Ismail 6-3, 6-4.

Boys U-13: Nadir Mirza bt Zain Ehtisham — walkover.
