PESHAWAR, Aug 10: Pakistan army dispatched seven trucks of food items, sports goods, stationery and national flags to Federally-Administered Tribal Area on Wednesday as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

The food items include 28,325 kilograms of wheat flour, 2,200 kilograms of sugar, 280 kilograms of vermicelli and 600 packets of candies. Besides this, 28,000 items of stationery, 10,000 national flags of different sizes and around 2,000 items of sports goods were also sent.

The items will be sold on subsidized rates among the deserving families of the tribal areas. The national flags, sports and stationery items will be provided to school children free of cost on August 14.
