LAHORE, Aug 8: Two Iranian coaches, will arrive on Aug 13 to hone the skills of Pakistani karatekas to prepare them for their participation in forthcoming International events.

Ahmad Safi will coach the men while Nida Razai will train the women’s team. Pakistan Karate Federation (PKF) secretary, Mohammad Jehangir, said that Ahmad Safi would prepare Pakistan team for next year’s SAF Games to be held in Sri Lanka from April 18 to 28.

Twenty probables are already attending the camp at the Wapda Sports Complex, Lahore, he said. Nida will coach the women’s team participating in the second Islamic Women Solidarity Games being held in Tehran, Iran in the third week of September.

The secretary said that the women’s team would also be announced after holding trials on Aug 15. He said that the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) provided coaches to the federation.

The women’s coach would be relieved after the Islamic Games while Safi will continue till the SAF Games.
