FATF and Pakistan

IF FATF wants compliance from Pakistan then it too has the obligation to address the grievances and objections of Pakistan and accept Islamabad’s request to send back the laundered money in Swiss banks, Panama and other offshore companies.

Pakistan showed its respect for international law by accepting the decisions of the International Court of Justice giving consular access the Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav. On the other hand, India continues to disrespect United Nations resolutions on Kashmir and international law. The world community too is apathetic to human rights violations in Kashmir.

The killing and blinding of innocent and peaceful protesters is a greater crime than money laundering.

The sword of FATF is hanging over Pakistan. If this Indian-motivated move is successful, it will have serious repercussions for the region. This means the Indian brutality in Kashmir will increase and can result in a nuclear war between the two countries which will kill millions on both sides.

Pakistan should ask FATF to help it by taking measures to bring back the laundered money and also make arrangements to hand over all those involved in this crime against Pakistan.

NOW that Pakistan will remain on the grey list of the Financial Action Task Force for the next four months, it is time that Pakistanis strived towards achieving self-sufficiency by supporting the government in radically slashing imports and started living within means.
