KARACHI: Fahd Husain has joined Dawn as the Resident Editor in Islamabad. He has come in place of Arifa Noor who left the position some time back.

Mr Husain is a well-known journalist and has worked for a number of media organisations since 1991.

He began his career with the now defunct The Muslim in Islamabad. Later on he held senior positions at The Nation and Gulf News, Dubai, and served as the Editor of daily The News. He has also worked at a number of television channels, and his last assignment was as Executive Editor at the Express Tribune, and as head of Express News television channel.

Mr Husain did his Masters in Television Journalism from Columbia University in New York, US. He brings with him a wealth of experience, having spent 28 years in print and broadcast journalism.
