PTCL service

Published October 12, 2019

I AM a student who needs to use the internet for studies and course work. Since the start of September, I have been facing frequent disruption and disconnection of my internet service which is a common complaint in a PTCL connection.

In the second week of September, the internet stopped working altogether. I lodged several complaints starting from Sept 13. The fault was fixed after several days during which my daily routine was to phone the PTCL and inquire about the status of my complaint.

Of late the service standard has further declined, and for some reason internet connections are erratic in the evening, and despite many complaints, the problem persists. This makes it difficult for students pursuing higher education to complete their course work. On the other hand the internet service provided by private companies has no such issues.

One would like to point out that public sector corporations providing a service will lose customers to the private sector if they don’t improve their working. This is a request to the telecommunication authorities to resolve this issue at the earliest.
