MUZAFFARABAD: A woman and two men were injured in the Neelum valley of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) in indiscriminate overnight shelling by Indian troops from across the Line of Control (LoC), an official said on Thursday.

“The Indian troops resorted to mortar shelling without any provocation after 8:30pm on Wednesday, targeting civilian population in Sharda sector” in the upper belt of the valley, said Raja Mahmood Shahid, deputy commissioner of Neelum district.

He said the shelling was indiscriminate and it stopped after more than four hours at about 12:45am.
