RAWALPINDI, Aug 3: A London-bound PIA flight aborted take- off at Islamabad International Airport on Wednesday after experiencing technical problems, airport authorities said. PIA flight (PK-785) for London was taxiing at 9:45am when its pilot experienced technical problems in the plane.

The pilot aborted the take-off and steered the aircraft to the parking bay. The passengers and crew members were evacuated and shifted to the lounge. The PIA spokesman at Islamabad, Mohammad Latif, told Dawn that the plane was taxiing when some technical fault developed.

The problem was timely noticed by the pilot. The passengers were offloaded and shifted to the lounge. However, the flight was delayed for three hours, he added.
