PESHAWAR: The 12-inch diameter main line supplying gas to the Peshawar city has been damaged near Hashtnagri, GT Road, during construction work on Bus Rapid Transit project, disconnection gas supply to several areas.

According to an SNGPL statement, gas supply would remain suspended to areas along GT Road from Tarnab Farm to Jinnah Park, interior city areas, Gulbahar, Nishtarabad, Hashtnagri, Peshawar Cantonment, Khyber Road, Saddar, Nauthia, Governor House, CM House, Corps Commander House and areas along Ring Road, Warsak Road, Charsadda Road, Pajjagi Road and Dalazak Road till completion of the repair work.

The affected people should take extreme caution and switch off all gas-run appliances during the shutdown, the statement said.
