ISLAMABAD: The chairman of the 8th Wage Board, retired Justice Hasnat Ahmad Khan, has expressed deep sadness on the passing away of Niloufer Patel, director of circulation and coordination at Dawn.

Justice Hasnat in a statement released on Wednesday said that Ms Patel would be remembered for her memorable contribution of 36 years in the field of journalism. She was a strong supporter of the freedom of expression.

He said it would be very difficult to fill in the vacuum caused by her death.
