PESHAWAR: The Provincial Selection Board (PSB) on Monday recommended promotion of 881 officers of various cadres to the next grade.

A statement issued here said that chief secretary Mohammad Saleem Khan chaired the PSB meeting, which discussed about 100 cases of 1,736 officers.

It said that PSB recommended 118 officers of establishment and administration department for promotion to BS-17, 18, 19 and 20 grades, six officers of information department to BS-18, 19, five officers of communication and works department to BS 18, 19 and 20 grades.

In addition, two officers from local government, five from excise, 10 from home, 13 from irrigation, 12 from mines, eight from population welfare, 12 from planning and development and seven from industries department were recommended to be promoted to next grade.

The statement said 380 officers of education department, 207 of higher education, 27 of agriculture department, 13 of environment, 58 of health and eight of public health engineering were also recommended for promotion.
