LAHORE: A man allegedly shot his mother, elder brother and his (brother’s) wife dead in Nishtar Colony on Sunday over a property dispute.

Nishtar Colony police said Gulshan Bibi, her elder son Hammad and his wife Lubna had invited her (Gulshan’s) younger son Ali at their house to settle a property dispute.

The police said when Ali arrived there, the family started a discussion to settle the dispute. Ali exchanged harsh words with his mother, following which he took out a pistol and shot her dead.

Then Ali opened fire at Hammad and Lubna who were trying to save Gulshan Bibi. The couple got critically injured in the firing and the suspect fled the scene.

The injured were taken to hospital where they succumbed to their wounds.

The police shifted the bodies to morgue for autopsy and started investigation.

Kahna Circle DSP Ghulam Abbas Rana told the media that a police team was constituted to arrest the fleeing suspect.
