Punjab schools championship

LAHORE, Aug 2: Boys and girls will compete in three different disciplines, each in the Punjab Chief Minister Inter-school Cup to be held in Lahore in September. The boys will compete in athletics, football and hockey while girls in hockey, basketball and volleyball.

The decision was taken in a meeting held at the Punjab Sports Board offices on Tuesday. A total amount of Rs 8.5 million would be distributed among the participants.

Eighty per cent of the total amount would be spent on construction of the infrastructure in prominent schools while the remaining 20 per cent will go to best headmasters, in-charges of sports section of school and players.
