PESHAWAR: Bodies of a female medical student and a young man were recovered from a car parked inside a house in a housing society on the outskirts of the provincial capital on Friday, police said.

They said the woman aged 25 is a resident of Shami Road area, and the man, 28, belongs to Hayatabad.

An official told Dawn that the residence in New City Homes from where the bodies were recovered was rented out by the 28-year-old deceased who came there occasionally. He said the bodies were discovered by one of his bothers, who came to see the house after the victim failed to pick up his phone.

The official said there were no torture marks on both the bodies and that they were waiting for postmortem report to register FIR. He said only energy drinks were recovered from the vehicle.

The official said families of both the victims had yet to lodge complaint against anyone.
