Power to remain suspended

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has announced three to seven hours of power suspension on different days in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to maintenance work on the transmission lines.

According to a statement issued here on Tuesday, the consumers of 11KV Industrial, Naguman, Haryana 1, Daudzai 1, 2, Old Naguman, New Khazana, KSM, Naguman, Khazana, Takhtaband feeders will face inconvenience on Sept 21, 23, 25 and 28 from 8am to 2pm.

The residents of Town 1, 2, S/Nemat Khan and KTS feeders will be affected on Sept 18, 21, 23 from 9am to 4pm.

In Haripur, the consumers of 11KV KTS feeders will face inconvenience on Sept 18 from 9am to 4pm. However, the consumers of 11KV Balaan will be affected on Sept 21, 23 and 28 from 9am to 4pm.

The consumers of 11KV Rehana-2 feeders in Kholian Havellian will face inconvenience on Sept 18 from 8am to 1pm.

The residents of Draban, Darazinda 1, Gandi Umer Khan will face power suspension from 9am to 5pm on Sept 19.

Meanwhile, Pesco has directed the field officers to take pragmatic steps for reduction of line losses and enhancing recovery of dues from the defaulters.

These directives were given by general manager commercial Chaudhry Yaqoob while presiding over a meeting of Peshawar circle at Wapda House.

The officials were directed to expedite the drive against power thieves, take all possible steps to achieve targets in line losses, recovery of outstanding dues, and lodge FIRs against those found involved in power pilferage.
