The case was registered on the complaint of Chaudhry Fiaz who is a candidate for the office of Nazim and belongs to the ruling PML.

RIGGING ALLEGED: PPP former MNA Nawabzada Ghazanfar Gul has accused the government of pre-poll rigging in the district. Addressing a press conference on Monday, he alleged that the candidates of the ruling party, with the help of police and state machinery, were involved in pre-poll rigging.

He alleged that several PPP candidates were kidnapped and were set free after the last date for filing nomination papers. He said display of arms by the men of candidates of the ruling party was on the rise despite the fact that the government had imposed Section 144. He alleged that the government was harassing and victimizing the PPP candidates.
