KARACHI: Young paceman Mohammad Makki wreaked havoc with a five-for as Pakistan CC stormed into the semi-finals of the KCCA Zone-VI Dawood Khan Memorial Cricket Tournament with an eight-wicket dubbing against Ravi Gymkhana.

In other quarter-finals, Metropolitan CC and Late Ismail Jaffer CC also prevailed into the last-four phase of the completion with victories over Sun CC and Qasba Sports, respectively.

Batting first at the Naya Nazimabad Cricket Stadium, Ravi Gymkhana were rattle by Makki, who grabbed five wickets for 22 runs and the spin of Raza-ul-Hasan and Mohammad Salman, as they were bowled out for 69 in 20.1 overs with just Abdul Musavir (20) and Daniyal Shahnawaz (18) reaching double figures.

Pakistan CC knocked the required in 11.4 overs while losing two wickets.

Abdul Rehman, younger brother of Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed, scored 51 and slow left-armer Mohammad Usman claimed 5-10 as Metropolitan CC defeated Sun CC by 73 runs at the TMC Ground, while Late Ismail Jaffer CC trounced Qasba Sports by nine wickets at the Afza Ground.
