KARACHI: Eminent TV, film and theatre actor Abid Ali’s funeral prayer was held at a housing complex located outside the city on Friday. He, 67, died of a liver disease at a local hospital on Thursday. A number of celebrities attended the funeral. Among them were president of the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, Ahmed Shah, actors Sohail Asghar, Tanveer Jamal, Faisal Qureshi and Shahzad Raza. The veteran actor’s first wife, Humera Chaudhry, and his daughter Iman Aly were also present.

He was buried in the graveyard on the premises of the residential colony where he lived with his second wife. Abid Ali was the recipient of Pride of Performance award. He has three daughters from the first wife, including model and actress Iman Aly.
