KARACHI: Talented Parbat Kumar cruised past Noor-e-Mustafa 6-0, 6-2 in the mens singles quarter-final while the pair of Azharuddin and Sher Muhammad outplayed Amir Mumtaz and Qutub Ahmed duo in the 45-plus doubles semifinal at the 8th Essa Lab National Seniors & Juniors Tennis Championship being played at the Modern Club here on Wednesday.

In the under-18 singles first round clash, young Osama Khan beat Ammar Ismail convincingly while in the under-16 match, Yahya Ehtisham crushed Saeed Suleman in a fine displlay of tennis. In the under-14 quarter-final, Bilal Asim from Lahore proved too good for his opponent Rahim Vaqar to reach the semis in style.
