DERA GHAZI KHAN: Transferred thrice during the last one month for taking action against a ‘corrupt’ revenue official, an official of the Anti-Corruption Establishment has appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan to take notice of the situation and protect him from a politically influential family.

Syed Ahmed Ali Bokhari, ACE assistant director investigation in DG Khan, in a video clip which went viral on Friday, said he had taken action against Qanoongo Baz Muhammed Buzdar on a written complaint and in reaction he was first transferred to Rawalpindi, then to Layyah and finally to Dera Ghazi Khan.

He alleged the brothers of an influential personality of Punjab holding an important office were behind his transfer. He said their frontman, identified as Toor Buzdar, was collecting commission in each project being executed in DG Khan but the ACE was helpless against him.

“I am helpless and tired of prevailing corruption in each government department,” he pleaded.

Dera Ghazi Khan division ACE Director Agha Ali Abbas said transfer and posting was a routine and internal matter of the department. He said an inquiry had been started to find the motive behind making of the video and the report would be sent to the ACE director general.
