LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), July 30: A tribal lashkar in collaboration with the political administration demolished the house of an outlaw in Bhukarh village in Bazaar sub tehsil on Friday. Zewar Khasrogai Zakhakhel was involved in the kidnapping of a government official, Engineer Mumtaz, in June and was opposing the construction of a road and other development schemes in the Naree Baba village.

Mr Mumtaz was recovered by the administration with the help of local elders after remaining for three days in the custody of Mr Zakhakhel, who was absconding since then.

Zewar Zakhakahel was also fined Rs100,000 and a jirga of elders acquired a bond of Rs1 million from him as a guarantee for his good conduct in future.

ARRESTED: The khasadar force during a raid on New Market in Bara arrested Abdul Samad, a resident of Mushtaq Manzil in Karachi, and seized from him a 30-bore pistol, four magazines, 50 rounds, hand grenades, a bullet proof jacket and a mobile phone set. He was shifted to Khyber House in Peshawar for investigation.
