Teenage maid’s murder

The Ferozabad police on Saturday registered a case against an employer and others for allegedly killing a teenage domestic servant.

The 13-year-old girl, Fauzia, was found hanging from a ceiling fan by police inside the home where she worked as a maid in PECHS on August 9, said Ferozabad SHO Aurangzeb Khattak.

The body was taken to the JPMC, where doctors in their initial findings also confirmed her death as suicide because apparently there were no torture or resistance mark on her body, added the officer.

However, the family did not believe the police and doctors’ version and insisted on pursuing the case legally.

Mr Khattak said that the police have registered a murder case against the employer, Nadeem, and two others and investigation has been launched. So far, no one has been arrested in the case.
