SWABI: Almost all water filtration plants installed in different areas of the district by the previous district government are in a state of disrepair and of no benefit to the people, according to sources in the district government.

They said that these plants were built when incumbent provincial minister for local government minister, Shahram Khan Tarakai, was district nazim. They recalled that at the time of installation it was stressed that the project would provide clean drinking water to the residents and protect them from various water-borne diseases.

Residents say no one interested in repair of the plants
