LAHORE: Dar Hockey Academy crushed HGC, Hauge, Holland to earn consecutive third victory on their tour of Europe, according to results received here on Monday.

Aizaz Khan, deputy head of mission Pakistan Embassy in the Netherlands, graced the occasion. Also present was Dutch hockey legend Marc Delissen, an Olympic and World Cup winner, and another distinguished Olympian and World Cup player Maarten van Grimbergen.

Delissen’s son Mick was playing in this match against the Dar Academy.

HGC which houses six synthetic turfs had finished third in the Hoofdklasse (Dutch league’s top tier). They fielded a team consisting of men’s first team and boys first team. Two had appeared for the Dutch national age group teams.

The Lahore-based academy remained in cruise control throughout.

For Dar Academy, Murtaza Yaqoob and Farhan struck three goals each with Adeel Latif, Abdul Rehman and Ali Aziz adding one apiece.
