Four of a family shot dead

FAISALABAD, July 29: Four family members were shot dead after being subjected them to physical torture by unknown assailants in Millat Town in Nishatabad police station area on Thursday night.

Reports said that unknown men entered the house of electronic dealer Khalid Mehmood (42). They tortured Mehmood, his wife Tahira and adopted children Haneef (5) and Ayesha (3) and then shot dead all of them.

On Friday morning, the area people informed the police when the inmates did not respond to doorbells of students. The police with the help of people broke the door and entered the house and found all the family members lying dead.

The people told police that the couple was issueless and had adopted two children some years ago. They were enjoying a happy life and had no enmity.

No clue to the killers had so far been found.
