PIA Youth thrash United Gym

KARACHI, July 27: PIA Youth moved into the semifinal of Inter-club hockey tournament when they thrashed United Gymkhana 7-1 in the quarterfinal played at Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium on Wednesday. Mehdi Abbas stunned PIA Youth by putting his side ahead in the 9th minute, converting a penalty corner.

PIA Youth hit back twice to take 2-1 lead at half time with goals from Nadeem Bhatti and Atif in 20th and 31st minute. In a one-way traffic, PIA Youth slammed five goals in the second session to emerge comfortable winners. The goal getters were Imran Maani (36th), Ahmad Hussain (39th), Imran Khan (49th) Ahmad Hussain (54th) and Jameel (59th minute).
