HYDERABAD, July 27: The People’s Party Parliamentarians has accused the Sindh government of using official machinery in the election campaign. In a joint statement issued here on Wednesday, party leaders MPA Bhurgari, Saghir Qureshi, Syed Saleem Shah Bukhari, Syed Fayaz Ali Shah, Mir Fateh Talpur, Amanullah Siyal and Aftab Ahmad Khanzada alleged that Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim was running the election campaign of pro-government candidates.

They alleged that Awam Dost Panel candidates were being kidnapped and stopped by police from filing nomination forms.

They charged that the DCO house had been converted into a unit office of a government party.

They appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the Chief Election Commissioner to take notice of violations of the election code of conduct by the government party.

In a separate statement, former Dadu District Nazim Malik Asad Sikandar accused the Jamshoro police of kidnapping his two candidates.

He alleged that Siddiq Sohari and Imam Bux, candidates of the Mole Union Council, Thana Bula Khan taluka, had been kidnapped by the Khanoth police, led by inspector Abdul Khalid Jathial, from the premises of the Kotri court where they had gone to deposit nomination forms.
