HYDERABAD: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested alleged killers of two brothers along with two other suspects involved in criminal activities in Jamshoro and Hyderabad districts.

Speaking to local reporters at police headquarters, Hyderabad SSP Sarfaraz Nawaz Shaikh and Jamshoro SSP Touqeer Naeem said that Mohammad Ali Siyal, Kamran Siyal, Rashid Abro and Danish Goraho were arrested in an area falling within the limits of the Baldia police station.

The SSP said they confessed to have snatched the official gun from constable Sher Mohammad Khaskheli on May 21 in Kotri and two days later they killed two brothers, Ghulam Shabbir Burfat and Gul Burfat in the same area. He quoted the suspects as stating that they had tried to intercept their car but when it did not stop, they fired on the vehicle killing both of them.

He said the suspects also confessed to have committed crimes like snatching money from people receiving money from vendors through mobile phone transactions at different shops.

The Jamshoro SSP said the arrest was a result of joint efforts by the police of two districts.
