KARACHI, July 26: India and Pakistan are poised to play a historic bridge series next month, says a press release issued by the Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF). Two Pakistan teams will compete for the India-Pakistan Peace Trophy in New Delhi from Aug 7 to 10 and return leg in Pakistan is expected to be played during November.

“An official invitation from honorary secretary, Bridge Federation ofIndia, Mukul Chatterji, has been received. PBF has already applied for the contingent’s clearance to Ministry of Interior through Pakistan Sports Board (PSB)” added the press release.

Pakistan’s “A” team will be comprised of Mohammad Ismail, Ziaullah Beg, Hamid Mohiuddin, Hassan Askari, Khalid Mhiuddin and Mubashir Puri. Pakistan “B” will be represented by Rashidul Ghazi, Pervez Mirza, Mirza Shauq Hussain, Imran Jaka and Sarfraz Khan.—Agencies
