No water for four days

Published July 27, 2005

LAHORE, July 26; Serai Ata Muhammad and Omar Colony residents remained without water for the fourth day running on Tuesday due to the failure of the Water and Sanitation Agency to repair the damaged pipeline.

Water supply to the two localities comprising hundreds of households was suspended on Friday following the damaging of the pipeline during ongoing construction work for Dharampura Underpass. Thousands of people living in the two laclitities have been experiencing great difficulties in meeting their water requirements because Wasa has made no alternative water supply arrangements.
