EIDUL Azha is around the corner. This very thought worries us by just visualising the blood and carcasses of sacrificed animals scattered on roads, streets and service lanes.

Karachi already has a huge pile of garbage and polyethylene bags all over the city. Many areas have no dust bins.

Things are likely to become worse before and during Eid. Animal sellers will be within the city to sell sacrificial animals adding to Karachi’s filth. They should not be allowed to sell their animals near residential areas.

The authorities concerned should prepare a plan for maintaining cleanliness.
