KARACHI, July 25: Five people died in accidents on Monday. Police said that a van carrying factory workers coming from the Hub Industrial Area was hit by a speeding dumper at Lucky Pahari, Northern Bypass. Police said that three persons died on the spot, they were identified as Dilshad, Yasir and Adil.

Others wounded in the accident were Hamid Ali, Tariq Ali, Tariq Hameed, Kamran, Sajid Ali and Tariq Husain. Police said that the errant dumper driver escaped from the spot following the accident. On late Sunday night three persons had also died at Hub River Road.

A man in his early thirties died after being crushed beneath the wheels of a UTS bus at Tower. Police said that Jameel Ahmed, was trying to board a UTS bus, but he fell and got crushed beneath the bus. The victim died on the spot. His body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for legal formalities.

On Shahrae Faisal, a motorcyclist Javed Siddiq died and his pillion rider Mohsin was wounded when they skidded.
