SUKKUR: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Thursday issued show-cause notices to Pakistan Peoples Party leaders MNA Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Shagufta Jumani, MPA Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Imtiaz Shaikh and others for violation of the code of conduct.

The sitting MNAs and MPAs were accused of running campaign for PPP candidate Sardar Mohammad Bux Mahar for NA-205 (Ghotki).

According to the notice, elected member of assemblies cannot run election campaign in the candidate’s constituency. They had been directed to submit their reply to the commission within three days, it said.
