KARACHI: Prodigy Ali Haider sent Oskar Charlesworth of Austria packing 3-1 in the World U-21 Snooker Championship in Chinese city of Qingdao on Wednesday.

According to the results, the national U-21 champion was home 73-7, 52-55, 88-21, 72-22 to register his second win in three games.

Meanwhile, his contemporary Shaikh Mohammad Mudassir, who sent Chinese cueist Liu Hongyu packing straight the other day, lost his second fixture to Thai opponent Phuttakarn Kimsuk by 1-3 frames. The Thai won the battle 97-22, 59-80, 71-13, 72-65.

The league matches conclude on Thursday followed by knockout round.
